Pipe Creek Church

Worshipping Jesus here since 1758 ... this foundation is strong!

MISSION STATEMENT

We commit to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ; to spread the Word simply and sincerely by giving, loving, and serving our neighbors; and by the manner of our living.

VISION STATEMENT (Adopted October, 2023)

We are disciples living joyfully, prayerfully, thankfully, and obediently to the

Word of God, so that the world can see in us, Jesus.

Sunday Services

Worship Service: 10:30 am

Children's Church: 10:30am

(2nd and 4th Sundays each month)

What's going on with Outreach?

We continue to support Samaritan's Purse,  Union Bridge Food Bank, Shepherds Staff, Carroll County Christian Farmers, and our own Family Crisis Fund.  One of the creative ways we support the food bank is making meals in pan. A pan with a receipt and all the ingrediencies needed for a complete meal.

Our ministry is all about Jesus—first, last, and always. As the Apostle Paul said, “For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.” (2 Corinthians 4:5).

Children's Story Time

During Worship

During the summer months we include story time during worship.  But now that fall has arrived we return to Children's Church.  The second and 4th Sunday of each month the children have there own teaching and worship time.  Learning about God and Jesus through the words of the Bible at there education levels.

In a world filled with constant distractions, teaching children about faith and moral values can be a challenging task.  Parents are the best teachers and models in a child's life. We seek to assist you.

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:30-31)

From our Pastor, Steve Lowe

"For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven   Ecclesiastes 3:1

You might think that the Winter Olympics would be a hot topic these days but must of my conversations are about winter. Particularly about the snow and prolonged cold temperatures we are experiencing this year. It has been several years since we have seen this many days below freezing and snow on the ground. Solomon reminds us in Ecclesiastes that seasons come and go. They are important and have purpose.

Take winter for example. For some these cold dark days allow for rest and quiet time at home, while for others it is extra income and recreational opportunities. (plowing, skating, skiing, sliding, etc.) This winter is a little harsher than recent years but it has lead me to be more grateful. I am reminded of how the snow is good for the soil and how as a child how I enjoyed days off of school playing in drifted piles. If nothing else the cold and snow make me long for spring and the return of baseball.

Whether you find any joy in the cold and snow, I encourage you make good use of this season and any season. Use this season to read your Bible, write some letters, renew your strength and add more prayer time. Another season is coming, be spiritually prepared.
